Electronic Document Associate (EDA) Designation

The Electronic Document Associate (EDA) is a designation for those who are new to the electronic document industry. If you have the required work experience and the number of education credits specified on the EDA application, chances are that you are EDA material. The EDA certification is valid for five years and cannot be renewed.

EDA Eligibility

Eligibility for EDA certification is defined in the Xplor EDP Certification Program Handbook[2] and on the website at website at https://xplor.org/electronic-document-associate-eda/. This is a one-time certification and can be the entry into the EDP program.

Eligible candidates must have:

  • minimum of 2 year active work experience in the industry
  • have earned the equivalent of 50 education credits

A student may also apply for the EDA designation if they have:

  • a minimum of 2 years post secondary education
  • a minimum of 3 months industry related job, including internships
  • the equivalent of 50 education credits

If you apply for the EDP Certification within 5 years of receiving it, your EDP Application Fee($50 USD) will be waived.
